The Heel Appeal - Cancer Support Walk

The Heel Appeal - Cancer Support Walk

The Heel Appeal is back!

The Heel Appeal reflects the saying ‘to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes’ - in this case it is those who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis. You can take on the walk in memory of a loved one, wear your wackiest shoes to make it a personal challenge, or just join in with the fun supporting your local community charity!

After raising over £6,000 and attracting over 70 walkers in 2015 the Heel Appeal was a great success. See coverage from last years event here. We're making Heel Appeal 2016 even bigger and better.

What can you look forward to this year?

  • Taking in even more of Glasgow's iconic West End
  • Even more entertainment with live music, face painting, a raffle, cheerleaders, a photo booth and more
  • Prizes given for teams and individual walkers

We'll also be on the look out for another supporter to be our Heel Appeal Champion to start the walk - is there someone you would like to nominate for this? Get in touch!

For more information keep an eye on this web page and our Facebook!

Please note registration is £5 and that we ask all participants to raise a minimum of £30 per person so that we can raise the vital funds we need to support our services. To register simply fill in the form below and then you will be taken through Paypal to pay the £5 fee. (Remember - kids go free!)

If you have any questions please email kirsty.nimmo@cancersupportscotland.org or call 0141 337 8199.

The Heel Appeal was a great day. My daughter, sister and myself had a fab time; the atmosphere was brilliant and we would definitely do it again! - Jacqui Spence
